Janet Nelson 
One of nine siblings born in southeast Wisconsin and raised on a dairy farm, Janet always had an interest in art. While working at an art supply store in Green Bay, Wisconsin, Janet’s boss challenged her to paint an old cupboard that was found on the curbside. That led to a show in the shop’s gallery and one at the downtown commerce center. Currently Janet lives in Landenberg in southeast, Pennsylvania and does illustrations for the educational materials industry. She is also a citizen blogger for the Philadelphia Inquirer online sharing her experiences moving from the Midwest to the east coast. www.janetnelson.net
